There are a variety of different IBC containers on the market. Often IBC tanks have an outlet size at the tap of S100x8. Since most adapters have the standard dimension S60x6, it becomes difficult to connect adapters to a larger diameter. The most common thread of the IBC outlet valves on the outlet side is the S60x6 (2" / DN50) coarse thread - external thread. For further connections, our IBC thread adapter is ideally suited, which has the same S60x6 coarse thread - internal thread as a connection to the IBC outlet valve. On the outlet side, the adapter has a G1" fine thread. This external thread is ideal for screwing on other accessories and adapters.The 1" fine thread offers stable hold and sufficient flow for standard plug-in couplings / click systems, claw couplings, pipe connections and much more. In case of sealing problems in connection with other adapters or connections, it is recommended to additionally seal the fine thread with PTFE tape or hemp. So if you want to remain flexible with the connection options to the IBC container and do not insist on ready-made IBC hose adapters, for example, the G1" IBC adapter is the best choice. The change of the respective connections is done by simply unscrewing and screwing on the firmly screwed IBC adapter, which remains fixed to the tap itself.
