IBC outlet valve for regulating liquids
By opening the outlet tap, the rainwater can be extracted in a targeted manner and filled into a watering can or a canister or fed directly into the hose. It can then be used for watering plants or cleaning the garden. Outlet taps allow the collected water to be used efficiently and therefore contribute to sustainable and environmentally conscious irrigation.
These different outlet taps are available
- Metal or plastic ball valve: Ball valves are robust and durable. They enable precise regulation of the water flow and are available in various sizes. Plastic ball valves are often cheaper and more corrosion-resistant than metal models, but metal valves offer greater stability.
- Tap with hose nozzle: This type of outlet tap has a hose nozzle to which a garden hose can be connected. The water is fed directly into the hose and can be used flexibly for watering the garden.
- Butterfly valve: Flap taps are easy to operate and allow a high flow rate. They have a flap that can be opened or closed by turning and are ideal for applications where a fast flow of water is required.
- Slide valve: Slide valves are ideal when continuous water withdrawal is required as they have a sliding mechanism for stepless water flow regulation. The desired amount of water can be dosed by moving the lever.
Benefits and advantages of container outlet valves
- Controlled water withdrawal: outlet valves enable precise water flow regulation and can be easily opened or closed as required.
- Flexibility when watering: If the tap is combined with a garden hose or irrigation system, you can use the collected rainwater specifically where it is needed.
- Easy to use: Outlet valves are generally easy to operate. They can be opened or closed easily without the need for special tools.
- Safety: Outlet valves are designed to ensure a secure and tight connection with the IBC tank. This means that the water cannot leak or spill.
