Let's talk about IBC Container!
IBC stands for the abbreviation "Intermediate Bulk Container". These prove to be enormously practical, especially due to their cubic shape, and are used in almost all areas. Many questions arise again and again on the subject of IBC containers. How big is an IBC? What is the volume of an IBC? What elements does an IBC consist of? Which thread does an IBC have? The most important thing you need to know about an IBC container: you can store up to 1000 liters of water! Or even only 600 liters. Or 300 liters. Of course, you can also store or transport other liquids in it, such as chemicals or food. For this, however, the IBC container must be compatible with the respective liquids. 1. Which size fits which purpose?
If you are now wondering which IBC container is best suited for which purpose, we will enlighten you. Of course, there is no fixed rule, which IBC Volumia is intended for which area. But before that, you should always think carefully about the purpose for which you need an IBC container. If you want to collect rainwater with it and have a relatively large garden, 1000 liter IBC containers are perfect. Likewise, in the industrial sector, the 1000 liter tanks (see picture on the left) prove to be very useful. The smallest IBC tank on the market with 300 liters (see picture on the right) proves to be extremely practical as a competitor to a commercial barrel. Thanks to the under-ride pallet, which has the dimensions of half an EU pallet, the IBC is very space-saving compared to a barrel. You can't go wrong with a 600 liter IBC container (see picture in the middle). As a hobby gardener or commercial customer - this IBC container is versatile.

3. What elements does an IBC consist of?
Intermediate bulk container basically consist of the following elements:
- Pallet
- Grid frame / grid box / steel tube frame
- Inner container / bladder
- Lid
- Replacement valve / outlet valve
The steel tube frame or also called grid box / grid frame is mounted on a pallet. The pallet is a wooden, plastic or composite pallet or a galvanized steel pallet. The IBC inner container, also called IBC bladder, is extrusion blown from high quality HDPE and is transparent in most cases. However, we also offer IBCs with a black bubble. This guarantees you optimal UV protection. On the top of the water tank there is a filler opening with a lid, which can be unscrewed and has the dimensions DN150 or DN225. The last and most exciting element is the IBC replacement tap / outlet tap. This is mounted directly to the inner container by the manufacturer. A thread as an outlet allows you to connect any number of other connections.
