The union nut (anti-twist protection) ensures that the hose connection incl. hose can be easily dismantled from the IBC container without having to turn the hose. The adapter is screwed to the IBC outlet valve with a coarse thread S60x6.
Tip: For better tightness and stability, the hose should be attached with a hose clamp!

Hose clamps in a 5-pack with a clamping range of 40-60mm / 1.57-2.36" and a 9mm / 0.35" bandwidth.When connecting a hose to a hose adapter, we recommend that you always additionally attach a hose clamp. This will give you a stable and reliable hold as well as a guaranteed tightness of the connection.
Our hose clamps are available in sets of 5, are made of galvanized steel (type W1). For a good stability and tightness when connecting, for example, a smooth-walled hose with a hose nozzle / hose adapter provides the hose clamp. The clamping range is between 25-40mm / 0.98-1.57". When tightening the clamp, the inner diameter becomes smaller and thus the hose is sealed with the respective hose adapter. The bandwidth is 9mm / 0.35".
