This drum heater is designed for controlled heating, temperature maintenance and frost protection of liquids stored in standard drums. It is intended for industrial applications where process media need to be maintained at a defined temperature or gently heated prior to processing. The integrated temperature controller enables precise temperature adjustment to support stable and repeatable production processes.

• Before use, check the manufacturer’s specifications regarding the maximum media temperature for the respective container (IBC, drum, canister, etc.). 
• All temperatures listed are for guidance only.
• The temperatures that can be achieved depend on many variables, such as the ambient temperature, the supply voltage, the medium, the drum material, the drum size, whether an agitator is used, and much more.
• The heating element must only be operated on filled containers! DO NOT under any circumstances perform a “dry test.” This could damage the container or even cause it to melt.
• The heating element must be operated at a connection equipped with a properly rated residual current device (RCD) and circuit breaker.
• Be sure to read and follow the manufacturer’s instructions on the product and the manual for the proper operation of the heating element.

Product Description

As ambient temperatures decrease, many liquids become more viscous and increasingly difficult to pump or process. By heating the drum wall evenly, thermal energy is transferred gradually to the contents, improving flow characteristics and ensuring reliable processing. At the same time, unwanted temperature fluctuations during storage and production can be significantly reduced.

The integrated temperature controller allows the heating process to be adjusted to the specific application requirements. This makes the drum heater suitable for both frost protection and controlled heating of a wide range of industrial media within its specified operating temperature range. For optimum energy efficiency, the heater can be combined with a matching insulated drum lid or insulation jacket to reduce heat loss and shorten heating times.
