Product information
This IBC immersion heater is designed for controlled heating and temperature maintenance of liquids in standard 1000 litre IBC containers. The heating element is immersed directly into the liquid, allowing direct heat transfer into the medium. This makes the heater particularly suitable for applications where viscosity or flow behaviour needs to be improved by controlled heating.
Product Benefits
- Direct heat transfer by immersion into the liquid
- 2000 W heating output for industrial temperature control processes
- Digital thermostat with temperature control from 0 to 90 °C
- Designed for standard 1000 litre IBC containers
- Supports controlled heating, temperature maintenance and improved product flow
- Can improve the handling of viscosity-dependent liquids
- Suitable for water-based solutions, oil-based products and compatible chemical process media
Typical Applications
- Water and water-based solutions
- Mild acids and alkaline solutions
- Oil-based products
- Chemicals and industrial process liquids
- Temperature control of liquids in IBC containers
- Improving the flow characteristics of temperature-dependent media
Product Description
Unlike IBC heating jackets or base heater mats, an immersion heater transfers heat directly into the liquid. Heat is not first transferred through the container wall or base, but introduced directly into the medium. For compatible liquids, this can be an efficient method for controlled heating and temperature maintenance.
The integrated digital thermostat allows precise temperature control up to 90 °C. The immersion heater is intended for use in standard 1000 litre IBC containers. Before use, the medium must be checked for compatibility with direct immersion heating and for its maximum permissible product temperature. Adequate liquid level and full coverage of the heating element must be ensured during operation.
Important!
- Before use, check the manufacturer’s specifications regarding the maximum media temperature for the respective container (IBC, drum, canister, etc.).
- All temperatures listed are for guidance only.
- The temperatures that can be achieved depend on many variables, such as the ambient temperature, the supply voltage, the medium, the drum material, the drum size, whether an agitator is used, and much more.
- The heating element must only be operated on filled containers! DO NOT under any circumstances perform a “dry test.” This could damage the container or even cause it to melt.
- The heating element must be operated at a connection equipped with a properly rated residual current device (RCD) and circuit breaker.
- Be sure to read and follow the manufacturer’s instructions on the product and the manual for the proper operation of the heating element.
